The Museum covers three thematic areas - Ethnography, Archeology and Paleontology - and is divided into two complementary museum centers:

• The Museum, in the village of Lourinhã, which includes a space dedicated to Natural History, in the fields of Geology, Paleontology and Archeology. It also has an important Ethnography exhibition, a laboratory, a Multipurpose Room for various activities for the youngest and an outdoor space, the patio, with an interesting set of dinosaur footprints.
• Another museum center inside the Dino Parque Lourinhã, where the Museum's paleontology exhibition is located, entitled “Dinosaurs of Lourinhã”.
